“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

University students in America are going bonkers over Socialism, thinking it is the best idea since ice cream! They can’t define it, but they parrot their professors in saying America needs to be socialistic to be perfect. They conveniently ignore the lessons of, say, Venezuela, as well as every failed country in history that have tried the great socialism experiment and have failed.

Karl Marx, blindly following the idea Satan put in his head, foisted what is known as Marxism on the unthinking pagan world. It has resulted in billions of deaths, utter misery, the depths of poverty, and untold failures of governance on the human creatures of the world. All this to Satan’s great delight. He is trying desperately to mimic the government, which shall rest on Christ’s shoulders. But, of course, he fails miserably because Satan is the father of lies.

Satan’s government is in vast contrast to Isaiah’s prophecy, that the true and perfect government rests on the very shoulders of Jesus Christ, the true Savior of the world. Until then, God provided Western Civilization with a form of government based on Biblical values. It has blessed the world with a better government than the world has enjoyed otherwise.

With the Enlightenment, the great Reformation of the Church, and the resulting government which arose; a government that fights for and protects human freedoms (for example, in the World Wars of the 20th Century), the peoples of the world have prospered far more than under any other government.

But this government of human freedoms, including financial, though it is the best of the present world’s governments, is still flawed terribly by men’s sin and propensity to corruption. It is greatly deficient from what God Himself has prepared for us.

Jesus, with his Second Coming, will usher in a government that will prosper the children of God for eternity. But to compare His government with Socialism, Marxism, or Communism is to render absolutely no comparison at all, for it exceeds every failure of those false ideas with the government of God, which is beyond your imagination.

But today, Socialism IS capturing the minds of this generation to the great consternation of those who know better. Unfortunately, there are less and less of those who do know better.

Despite its total failures over and over in history, atheistic Socialism is being practically and universally taught today as the answer to the world’s ills. People are being blinded to move in the direction of it once more, just as the German populace moved like dumb sheep under Adolph Hitler, Mao Zedong and Stalin, among others.

Socialism, with its blind acceptance by this generation, will again prove to be a disaster for all people under its totalitarian yoke, setting the scene for Jesus’ Return to this earth. Jesus, because of who He is, provides through his governing, true peace, a peace which passes all understanding. This is the hope of every believer who now suffers a heavy concern for what evil the world is bringing on itself, because it is unwilling to see the trick that Satan has played on their eyes.

Satan is like an angel of light, Scripture says, in his massive deception, but Jesus defeated him long ago on a cross on Golgotha, which means “the place of the skull.” All false ideologies, all false governments, and all false leaders will be finally exposed. They will become like the mere “skulls” of the normal results of crucifixion. You should never willingly succumb to their errant promises, for they are but dust.

The real alternative is the true glory of the resurrection from crucifixion, or what crucifixion represents: death. Glory means life from death. Life from dust. Life from destruction. Life from the horrors of Hell. Life forevermore.

Glory for you (your glory is truly becoming exactly what God designed for you) is found only in the One who is true glory itself, your life-giving God—a God, Who is in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Soli Deo Gloria! All glory to God!

Encouragement

“Holy! Holy! Holy! Lord God almighty! Early in the morning, our song shall rise to thee. Holy! Holy! Holy! Merciful and mighty. God, in three persons, blessed Trinity.”

(1st verse of Reginald Heber’s hymn, “Holy, Holy, Holy,” 1826)
