Freedom

By Kevin Williams

Freedom is often described as “the state of not being imprisoned or enslaved.” With regard to our great Nation’s history, freedom has been called living without fear of tyranny, and oppression. Whatever your definition, Freedom is a valuable commodity in life, and as it pertains to those who follow Christ, even in death. God created man, and all the rest of creation with the sole purpose to please and worship Him.

As we exercise and enjoy the freedoms afforded us as citizen’s of The United States America, it should remind us of the great freedom provided for us at the cross of Calvary, freedom from death, and separation from God. Galatians 5:1, “It is for freedom Christ has set us free, Stand firm then and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. “ We are free in Christ to love and obey Him, and care for those who cross our paths along the way, and to gain our citizenship in heaven. Our freedom as a country came at a great cost. Freedom from sin came at the greatest price of all, the precious blood of Jesus Christ. Christ chose us so we could choose to be free.

Strength For The Day

Each week, PAYH shares a devotional; “Strength For The Day,” by Chaplain (Col) Stephen W. Leonard, USA, Ret. In addition to being a retired US Army Chaplain, he is also the husband of our Co-Founder, Glenda Anderson Leonard. Bike Ride Kickoff

What an amazing weekend with the 2024 Bike Ride kickoff, and was it ever an exciting time. The families of the young men, and The PAYH staff had a wonderful meal, followed by Eddie Burris giving an overview of the history of the Bike Ride. We followed up with several games that were enjoyed by all. It was definitely a day to remember.

Why We Ride

The Bike Riders train hard and are diligent in their task. Often, people wonder what drives these young men to travel these extremely long distances. What is their motivation? What is their purpose? What keeps them going? This will answer the plethora of questions on “Why We Ride.” We encourage everyone to look at this video and be inspired by the boys’ hearts and minds of what drives them to be the best. Congratulations Ben!

Join us in congratulating PAYH alumni Ben Carney! Ben recently graduated from North Georgia Technical College. Ben exemplifies the positive impact of PAYH. Through faith-based guidance, we equip young men to overcome challenges and achieve their goals.

Congratulations Linden!

Lives are forever being changed here at The PAYH. We are so proud of Linden, who made an additional commitment to the LORD by being baptized this weekend. God is doing great things in the boys, and we are thankful to play a part in the spiritual growth and development of the young men.
