The Unchanging Faithfulness Of God
By Kevin Williams
Director Of Mentors, Paul Anderson Youth Home
As many have said through the years, getting older is not for cowards. There are issues with bad teeth, aching body parts, memory lapses, and many other ailments associated with aging. Of all the factors involved in the process of passing years, the one I most often find myself grateful for is the character of God. God’s faithfulness is not dependent on my memory or my health. He is faithful because it is who He is. Whether I maintain my memories or my ability to remember dwindles with the passing of time, God remains faithful because of His immutable, unchanging character. Knowing God, not only about Him, but knowing Him, becomes the ultimate gift for which I am most grateful. Do you know Him? If you do, then like me, you have much for which to be thankful. Take time today and each day to reflect on His faithfulness and your response to the LORD in gratitude and worship.

Strength For The Day
Each week, PAYH shares a devotional; “Strength For The Day,” by Chaplain (Col) Stephen W. Leonard, USA, Ret. In addition to being a retired US Army Chaplain, he is also the husband of our Co-Founder, Glenda Anderson Leonard. His writing is both moving and inspiring and will most certainly lift your spirit and encourage you in your walk with Jesus. To receive his weekly writing, you can subscribe online at payh.org. Strength In Every Area Of Life
At the Paul Anderson Youth Home, our young men learn that true strength goes far beyond muscles. Paul Anderson believed that caring for your spirit, soul, and mind is just as important as caring for your body—because when all four work together, you build the foundation for lasting success.
The boys hit the weights regularly, pushing themselves to grow stronger not just physically, but in discipline, focus, and perseverance. Every rep reminds them that taking care of the body God gave them is part of honoring Him in all things.

Growth In More Ways Than One
At the Paul Anderson Youth Home, our Goodness Garden continues to flourish — not just in produce, but in purpose. The young men take full responsibility for cultivating, planting, and harvesting each crop, learning valuable lessons in hard work, patience, and stewardship along the way.
From seed to harvest, they’re seeing firsthand the rewards of dedication and care — both in the garden and in their own lives.

Empowering Education: Building a Foundation for Every Future
Paul Anderson High School is a fully accredited institution that equips our young men for success—both inside and outside the classroom. Each student works diligently toward earning their high school diploma, preparing them to confidently step into higher education, trade school, or the workforce.
At the Paul Anderson Youth Home, education is more than academics—it’s about building discipline, character, and a foundation for a bright future.
Founder’s Day Celebration at PAYH!
On October 17th, the Paul Anderson Youth Home celebrated Founder’s Day — a special time to honor our history, our mission, and the legacy of Paul Anderson.
The day began with the boys pitching in for a quick cleanup around the grounds, followed by a meaningful devotional led by Kevin Williams, our Director of Mentors. Executive Director Betty Burris then shared the inspiring story of the Home’s humble beginnings and how our mission remains just as strong today as it was at the start.
After a delicious brunch with the boys and staff, creativity took center stage as everyone enjoyed an arts and crafts project—painting and personalizing their own mini boats. Once the paint dried, friendly competition kicked off with boat races and fun-filled field games (thanks to the always-creative Deborah Williams, our Case Coordinator!).
To top off an incredible day, ScoopS Lyons rolled up with their truck to serve sweet treats to our boys and staff—an amazing way to end a memorable celebration.
Every activity, laugh, and reflection reminded us of why we do what we do—to transform young lives through faith, discipline, and love.

Happy Thanksgiving From PAYH
As we gather around the table this Thanksgiving season, we are reminded of the many blessings God has placed in our lives — our families, our friends, and the incredible support of people like you who make our mission possible.
At the Paul Anderson Youth Home, we are thankful every day for the opportunity to see young men’s lives transformed through faith, hard work, and love. This season of gratitude reminds us that true thankfulness is shown not only in words, but in the way we serve others, just as Christ served us and continues to be our advocate to the Father.
From all of us in the PAYH family, we offer you our great love and immense appreciation for helping us represent Jesus to these young men and their families every day.
