While the Olympic games were not originally scheduled for this summer, it does seem incredibly fitting that they would take place in 2021, the year of Paul Anderson Youth Home’s 60th Anniversary!

As you may or may not know, our Founder and Georgia Native, Paul Anderson overcame Bright’s Disease to win the gold medal in weightlifting as a super heavyweight during the 1956 Melbourne Olympic Games, and then dedicated his life to helping others and planting God’s Word in their hearts. Our ministry is truly OLYMPIC STRONG.

Now, sixty years and more than 1,400 individuals later, the Home and ministry continue to transform lives each day by helping young men turn away from incarceration and toward God. Just as you and your family have been impacted by Covid-19, the boys who attend this program face additional challenges that quarantine, illness of family members, and emotional turbulence add to their already fragile lives. It is our hope that we can renew their sense of stability and alleviate some of the stress caused by these issues.

Olympism is a philosophy of life, exalting and combining in a balanced whole the qualities of body, will, and mind. Blending sport with culture and education, Olympism seeks to create a way of life based on the joy found in effort, the educational value of a good example, and respect for universal fundamental ethical principles.

Similarly, Paul Anderson Youth Home needs your support, strength, and passion to accomplish the mission of “giving boys second chances.”

This critical work could not be accomplished without the generous support of our community. Our Heavenly Father has been faithful to sustain this ministry for 60 years, and with your support, we can continue transforming the lives of young men who are struggling for many more years to come.

A changed life is truly priceless. We thank you sincerely for your continued love, prayers and support of Paul Anderson Youth Home.
